How to write an engaging blog post that your readers will appreciate
I am sure there are plenty of others who are in the same boat. You have started your new venture. You have been working on a website for your venture. And because you want to ensure you put your best foot forward have decided that you need a blog.
Now if you are anything like me, and prefer numbers over words, blog posts are a real challenge to write.
I am not afraid of challenges, in fact, you can say that I enjoy challenges.
Now were to start? Good old Google tells me the following:
- Understand your audience
- Start with a topic and working title
- Write an intro (and make it captivating)
- Organise your content
- Write!
- Proofread your post and fix your formatting
If Google is right, I have a lot to learn.
If you have worked with me, you probably know that one of my most used quotes is ‘aim for success, not perfection’ (David M. Burns). I truly believe that if you strive for perfection, but don’t progress until you get there, it will hold back your business success.
In business, give yourself the opportunity to improve as this will mean you never stop learning.
So here I am, I have a lot to learn, but hereby, officially, my first blog post.
