Northland born and bred, Mere is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience working with Northland businesses. With a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University, Mere completed her Chartered Accountancy training with Whangarei based accounting firms Gilmore Brown and Gilmore Taylor.
Mere has a flair for all things taxation and specialises in Xero software training. Mere has seen first-hand how businesses can benefit from using the right software and ensures her training remains up to date with Xero’s ever changing features and functions. Training clients to use Xero, upskilling confident Xero users and introducing policies and procedures for those businesses who need help keeping their systems under control is a part of the job Mere enjoys most. In particular, seeing the look in a client’s eyes when they discover how much time their Xero software is going to save them!
Outside of work Mere is very involved with the Arts. She is usually found playing various instruments, often with the Northland Sinfonia or in musical productions. She also supports the Arts through her non-profit work, such as serving as the Treasurer for Northland Performing Arts Competition Society since 2015, and her ongoing support of the Northland Sinfonia since 2014.
